Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios

You can’t talk about Halloween in LA without talking about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. This after-hours event features terrifying mazes and attractions, scare zones, and the park’s most thrilling rides.
Here you’ll find attractions based on some of the most famous scary films and shows of all time including Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, Creepshow, House of 1000 Corpses, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, The Walking Dead, and more! This event often sells out, so you’ll want to get your tickets right away.

Haus of Creep

Haus of Creep is a 75-minute theatrical performance that’s different from anything you’ve ever experienced before. It’s not a haunted house! Instead, it’s a fully-immersive, multi-sensory adventure that invites audience members to explore frightening stories in a way that is disturbingly fun.
This bizarre and shockingly intimate show blends performance and reality in a way that’s guaranteed to stick with you for the long term. It’s intended for mature audiences and includes disturbing content, simulated violence, and nudity. You must be over 21 to attend.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

Located in the old Griffith Park Zoo, the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is a favorite among locals and visitors. In addition to a terrifying haunted hayride, visitors can also enjoy haunted mazes, a scare zone, and mini escape games. This is an intense adventure, so it’s not recommended for kids under 12 years old.

A Hitchcock Halloween

Head over to the Theater at Ace Hotel for one of the area’s most fun and unique ways to celebrate Halloween. On Saturday, October 26th at 8 p.m. begin your evening with a showing of the classic Alfred Hitchcock horror movie Psycho accompanied by a live performance of the score by the LA Opera. After this unforgettable event, you’ll want to stick around for the after-party in the hotel’s swanky lobby. It will feature music, drinks, and music sets from Restless Nights DJs. Costumes are encouraged!

West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival

If you’re ready to have an absolute blast on Halloween night, you’ll want to head over to the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival. It’s one of the largest Halloween street parties in the world and is attended by close to half a million people. Here you’ll find insane costumes, ridiculous revelry, live music and DJs, dancing, and plenty of local food to enjoy.
This event, held on Santa Monica Boulevard, is free to attend. It’s definitely an adult party, so plan to leave the little ones at home! Also, don’t forget to wear your costume — nobody likes a party pooper.
