Sherman-Oaks-California-To-Do

Whether you’re cruising down Ventura Boulevard or scoping out some of the area’s hidden gems, there’s no shortage of great things to do in Sherman Oaks. Whenever we get a chance to chat with our customers, we like to ask them about their favorite local finds. We’re always excited to try them out and share what we’ve learned. Here are a few of our recent favorites that we’re sure you’ll love too.

Boneyard Bistro

A staple in Sherman Oaks for over 10 years, Boneyard Bistro is known for their slow-cooked barbecue, decadent burgers, and electric bistro menu with a soul food twist. This popular local restaurant has some of the best BBQ in the LA area, but that’s not all! They also have an extensive whiskey and bourbon menu and 42 rotating beers on tap. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious, and, if you’re feeling brave, you might want to try the aptly-named extremely spicy “Burn in Hell Burger.”

Blue Dog Beer Tavern

If you love spending time with your furry friend, you’ll want to take a ride out to Blue Dog Beer Tavern, where the staff will love your dog as much as you do. This pet-friendly neighborhood eatery carries a delicious selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads and a variety of beers and ciders. Some of our favorite menu items include the Spicy Mac n Cheese, Chi Chi Breakfast Burger), and Pulled Pork Fries.

Sherman Oaks Antique Mall

The 10,000 square foot Sherman Oaks Antique Mall offers visitors a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Whether you’re looking for vintage jewelry, home decor, clothing, antiques, or collectibles, you’re sure to find something exciting here. Plan to spend some time wandering around and taking in the sights — you never know what’s going to catch your eye!

The One Up

Take a trip back to your childhood at The One Up gastropub and arcade. If you haven’t been there yet, you really need to see it to believe it! The One Up features eclectic furniture pieces, unique seating arrangements, and 15 separate arcades with over 400 games that are all FREE!

As if that weren’t enough, the menu features items like Cap’n Crunch Chicken, Mini Corndog Pops, and Goat Cheese Tater Tots. Best of all, you can feel good about eating here. All of their meat comes from their own 1,000-acre farm where they practice humane treatment and sustainable farming methods.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with a visit to Happy Days Cafe. Here you’ll enjoy a cozy atmosphere, delicious coffee, and some of the best desserts you’ll ever taste. From stuffed churros and churro waffles to churro doughnuts and even churro ice cream sandwiches, you’ll love all of this fresh-baked goodness.

Kai Ramen

One of the best hidden gems in Sherman Oaks, Kai Ramen is a small restaurant with a huge following. This gourmet Japanese Ramen restaurant was named one of LA’s top ramen spots by Eater LA, and it’s easy to see why! All of their soups are made fresh in-house without the use of packaged ingredients.
