Five Essential Delivery Apps for Quarantine

BEST-DELIVERY-FOOD-APPS

The state of California is about to start slowly reopening after almost two months of living under stay-at-home orders. However, it will still be quite some time before things get back to “normal.” In the meantime, most of us are adapting by finding new alternatives to help us get the supplies and services we need without leaving our homes.
Luckily, in today’s digital world, there’s an app for just about everything. Here are five excellent delivery apps that we recommend.

Amazon

No list of useful delivery apps would be complete without including Amazon. From non-perishable foods to home supplies, electronics, beauty products, and just about anything you can think of — Amazon has got your covered.
If you have Amazon Prime, you can get many items delivered within two days. This will also give you access to their streaming services so you can enjoy music and movies while you’re staying home.

Uber Eats

Craving food from your favorite restaurant but can’t get there? No worries! Just open up the Uber Eats app to browse available restaurants in your area. You’ll find fast food, brunch, lunch, dinner, and even groceries.
Order through the app, pay for your meals along with a small delivery fee, and your food will arrive at your door within the specified time frame.

Capsule Pharmacy

If you want to avoid people who might be sick, the pharmacy is the last place you want to go! Instead, why not safely get your prescriptions through the Capsule Pharmacy app. You can order your medications right from your phone and they offer free same-day delivery.
The prices are very competitive and they accept most insurance coverage. They also use “predictive inventory” to ensure they keep medications in stock so you never run out. If you have questions, you can also easily chat or talk on the phone with one of their pharmacists.

Laundry Bubble

The laundromat is another place that’s always filled with people. Skip this trip and use Laundry Bubble instead. All you have to do is log in and choose your pickup time from their 24-hour calendar. Then pack your dirty clothes up in a bag and hand it to the delivery driver when they arrive or leave it on your porch or with your doorman.
They’ll take your clothes, expertly clean them, and bring them back to you folded or ironed. You’ll pay by the pound and can choose from wash and fold, hang dry, or dry cleaning.

Shipt

Need some groceries but don’t want to leave the house? Then you definitely need the Shipt app! Open up your app, create your grocery list, then choose a delivery time. Your personal Shipt shopper will head to the store, pick up your items, and deliver them to your home. If they can’t find something on your list, they’ll even send you a text while they’re at the store and give you a chance to ask for a different product.
They offer same-day and one-hour delivery times, so you can take advantage of this service even if you’re in a rush! You’ll pay a fee to purchase your membership and slight upcharge on the items you buy. It’s also customary to tip your shopper, but most users agree that the small cost is well worth it!
